Tiler Peck was born in Bakersfield, California. She began her dance training at the age of 2 at her mother’s dance studio.  At the age of 11, Tiler entered the School of American Ballet, the official school of the New York City Ballet. She joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet at age 16 and was promoted to soloist in December 2006. In October 2009, she was promoted again to principal dancer. Now, she is celebrated as a leading American prima ballerina, an Olivier-nominated choreographer, and multifaceted artist.  

Peck has danced at The Kennedy Honors ceremony twice, performing in front of the President and First Lady. She appeared multiple times on Dancing With The Stars and was the focus of the 2018 documentary Ballet Now on Hulu. During the pandemic, Tiler hosted an Instagram Live ballet class to keep people moving: #TurnItOutWithTiler, bringing together guest stars and over 15,000 daily participants. The class inspired her award-winning international show, Turn it Out with Tiler Peck and Friends. Beyond ballet, Peck is an author, designer of her “Love, Tiler” collection with So Dança,  and actress, appearing in television shows such as Netflix's Tiny Pretty Things, and Amazon Prime’s new show Étoile and choreographing for blockbuster films like John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum.
