How long does this book club run?
The Restorationists Summer Book Club is a four-week program starting Monday, July 15, 2024, and ending Friday, August 9, 2024.
Is there a fee involved?
Participation in the book club is free. You will need a copy of the book Beneath the Swirling Sky by Carolyn Leiloglou, which is available in paperback, hardcover, eBook, and audiobook formats. Please click HERE for retail information.
What can my family expect from this program?
Book club members are invited to read seven chapters a week. Expect to get creative and pick up fun art history facts from the story! You will be supplied with questions for thoughtful discussions that your family can engage in around the dinner table. Throughout the month, your family will also create your own Starry Night paintings, dive into a study of artists like Vincent van Gogh and Rembrandt, go on an outing to your local art museum, and attend a live Q&A session with the author.
Are the events and activities in person?
Two live 45-minute events with author Carolyn Leiloglou will be hosted virtually. After each event, a recording will be shared with families who cannot attend. Other activities can be conducted independently. A full calendar of book club activities is listed below.
My children’s ages vary. Will the activities be suitable for young children?
Beneath the Swirling Sky is an art-meets-adventure novel that is perfect for a family read-aloud! It is best for readers ages 8 to 12 who want to read independently. Our book club activities are family-friendly and suitable for ages 6 and up.
What happens after I sign up?
All book club content will be delivered digitally to members who sign up via the form below. Upon registration, you will receive an email on the week of July 8th detailing everything you need to get started, including a downloadable guide. Book club members will also receive weekly emails throughout the duration of the program with information about the following week’s activities.
