Rebranding the Church
Eric Mason
For many, it brings to mind a fragmented collection of people who preach one thing while practicing another. Weekly headlines of scandals, hypocrisy, inconsistency, and division make it difficult to see the church as the loving, truth-filled community it was meant to be. But Dr. Eric Mason believes there is hope for revival.
In Rebranding the Church, Dr. Mason—a respected author and pastor—calls on followers of Jesus to acknowledge our own role in the world’s distrust of Christians and embrace a renewed commitment to the gospel. This rebranding goes beyond fixing a public image; it’s about returning to the heart of Jesus’s message.
The early church, he points out, was not just a gathering—it was a movement of people devoted to living out the gospel in authentic community. Although today’s church has lost ground, Dr. Mason believes that by embracing accountability and real discipleship, we can reclaim our place as a transformative presence in the world. The transformation our world so desperately needs to see begins when each believer takes part in reclaiming the dignity, purpose, and mission of the church from the inside out.
Rebranding the Church invites believers to be part of the work of restoring the church’s witness among those who need it most. This journey is about far more than repairing an image; it’s an invitation to rediscover God’s design for the church and join Him in bringing Jesus’s transforming love to all.
