FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What is the Penguin Publishing Group Influencer Program for Multicultural Creators?

The Penguin Publishing Group Influencer Program for Multicultural Creators is a monthly influencer mailing offering copies of our multicultural titles. From celebrating heritage months to spotlighting multicultural authors, this program will include titles from across the spectrum of identities and prioritize creators from underrepresented communities. Each month we select a new batch of creators, meaning you must apply for each mailing separately.

Please note, this program operates separately from other imprint influencer programs under the Penguin division. Please visit https://sites.prh.com/ppginfluencerfaqs for more details on those programs.

What types of titles will be offered?

From historical fiction and romance to inspirational nonfiction and memoirs, each month’s selection will include a diverse array of genres from across Penguin Publishing Group imprints.

Can international influencers request titles?

You must live in the US or Canada and be 18 years-of-age or older to qualify. Due to world rights and restrictions, we are only able to work with influencers in the United States and Canada.

What are the requirements to ask for a review copy?

You need an active Instagram or TikTok account, to live in the US or Canada, and to be 18 years-of-age or older.

Will I receive digital or physical galleys of the books?

Creators will receive physical copies for each available title. If only digital copies are offered, the form will indicate as such.

How many titles can I request per month?

Each mailing will include a selection of six to twelve titles. Interested creators may request three.

I requested a book but haven't received anything. Now what?

Review copies are limited, and due to the high volume of interest in our titles, we will only be sending emails to those receiving a review copy of a book.

When will the next round of titles be offered?

The next round of titles will be offered the last week of the previous month the mailing is for i.e. April’s mailing will be open the last week of March.

What accounts should I tag and what hashtags should I use in my post?

If you choose to post about a complimentary book you received from Penguin USA, you must disclose our relationship within each relevant post, as required by the FTC. This disclosure must occur at the top of your post before any “expand” or “read more” button. Please use at least one of these two mandatory disclosures:

  • “Thanks so much to @penguinusa for the free book!”

  • Tag the division and use the division’s Partner hashtags:

    #PenguinUSA #PenguinUSApartner

Does Penguin USA offer compensation for posting about books?

In accordance with the Penguin Random House influencer policy, we work with influencers in the following ways:

  • Penguin Random House does not offer monetary compensation for buzz mailings that have no posting requirement. For buzz mailings, we will provide you with complimentary books and give you the opportunity to read and review them, but you are under no obligation to do so. This program’s mailing falls under this category.

  • Penguin Random House does offer monetary compensation for sponsored content where posting is required. These paid posts will be within specific parameters, including timing and content guidelines, and potentially content approval.
