FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How can I partner with you on your upcoming titles?
We love hearing of your interest and excitement in supporting our books and authors! You can email helloriverhead@penguinrandomhouse.com to inquire about forthcoming titles and we’ll be in touch.
Have you signed up for the Penguin Random House Influencer Database yet?
Started in April 2022, every Penguin Random House (PRH) publishing imprint is now working together on a shared influencer database. By signing up to be an Influencer @ PRH, your reading and genre preferences and contact information will be available to any PRH marketer looking for social media influencers to work with on either paid or unpaid campaigns. Creating an account allows you to manage your preferences and contact information, and makes you visible to more marketers for more campaigns. You can sign up here!
How do you select who receives review copies?
We review the requests and consider the following:
A public profile on Instagram, TikTok, or other social platform
Recipients must be based in the US (*At this time, we are unable to send copies outside the 50 United States. Please refer to the relevant publisher or imprint in your home country.)
We give special consideration to Own Voices reviewers
I received a review copy from you! What now?
Yay! We are excited for you to read and join the conversation online about the title you received. As per official Penguin Random House policy, all posts must follow the FTC guidelines for the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising.
I was told copies of a book are not available, but saw a copy on Instagram. What’s up?
We may be offering those titles only via sweepstakes or our monthly title giveaways, hosted on our imprint social media channels or Goodreads. We invite you to follow us to learn more about additional opportunities to receive copies of our books.
Additionally, editorial, publicity, and sales teams also send out Advance Review Copies (ARCs)/Galleys and finished books via buzz mailings. That outreach is separate from our influencer programming, but may appear on social media.
Do you offer compensation for posting about books?
In accordance with Penguin Random Hose influencer policy, we work with influencers in the following ways:
1. Penguin Random House does not offer monetary compensation for buzz mailings that have no posting requirement. For buzz mailings, we will provide you with books and give you the opportunity to read and review them, but you are under no obligation to do so.
2. Penguin Random House does offer monetary compensation for sponsored content where posting is required. These paid posts will be within specific parameters, including timing and content guidelines, and potentially content approval.
Note: If you are an influencer or have a social media presence but also contribute to a media outlet, please disclose that in your outreach to us.
Do you hire BIPOC readers as authenticity readers?
Yes, we do! This process is overseen by imprint editorial teams, and is separate from influencer outreach.
