What is the Berkley Influencer Review Copy Request Form?

The Berkley Influencer Review Copy Request Form is the best way (rather than email) to request a digital or physical review copy of a title from Berkley Publishing, Berkley Romance, or Ace.

What are the requirements to use the request form?

To use the request form, you must be an influencer with an active and public Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube account, and you must live in the US or Canada and be 18 years-of-age or older.

What if I am located internationally?

If you are located outside of the U.S. or Canada, we recommend you first check with your local publisher. You can also reach out to InternationalPublicity@penguinrandomhouse.com to check on the rights restrictions and availability of review copies on a title-by-title basis.

When are form requests reviewed?

Requests are reviewed 1 - 2 months before a title goes on-sale.

Will I be notified if my form request is approved?

• Physical review copy requests: If your request for a physical review copy is approved, you will only be notified by receiving a copy of the book in the mail using the address you provided.

• Digital review copy requests: If your request for a digital review copy is approved, you will receive an email notification with a link to download your digital review copy via NetGalley.

Please note that both digital and physical review copies are limited. Due to the volume of requests, we are unable to notify those whose requests we are unable to fulfill.

What do I do if I need to update my mailing address?

When you fill out the form, please provide the best mailing address for you at that time. If your address should change, please submit another request, and please ensure you are set up to have your mail forwarded—just in case! We will do our best to ensure we are using the mailing address from your newest entry.

Please note we take your privacy very seriously. The collected information (such as mailing address) will only be used for the limited purpose of review copy distribution and will not be shared or stored. (PRH Privacy Policy).

If my request for a physical review copy is approved, will I receive a galley or a finished book?

This will be determined based on galley availability. If galleys are available at the time of fulfillment, you will receive a galley. If not, you will recevie a finished book.

What is a galley?

A galley is an early version of the book. These early copies are not proofread and are subject to minor spelling, grammatical, and format changes. The terms “galley” and “ARC” are interchangeable.

I received a review copy after using the form. Now what?

If you receive a review copy and choose to post about a complimentary book you received from Berkley, you must disclose our relationship within each relevant post, as required by the FTC. This disclosure must occur at the top of your post before any “expand” or “read more” button. Please use at least one of these two mandatory disclosures: 

• “Thanks so much to @berkleypub @berkleyromance or @acebookspub for the free book!”

• Tag the imprint and use the imprint's Partner hashtags: #BerkleyPartner #AceBooksPartner

If you are having trouble finding the Book Request Information (title, author, imprint, on-sale date), you can find this on the Penguin Random House website.

• Step 1: Visit www.penguinrandomhouse.com.

• Step 2: Use the search fuction to search the title of the book.

• Step 3: Click on the relevant search result.

• Step 4: Once you the land on the book page, scroll down until you see "Product Details." This is about halfway down the page, under the book description and praise.

• Step 5: Click on "Product Details" to reveal the information you need.
